The Momentary Pause

“I go to nature to be soothed and healed and to have my senses put in order”. John Burroughs Much of that soothing and reordering happens during dawn hours, as I glide through calm waters in my kayak. Making nary a sound and only a ribbon of a ripple, I blen into my surroundings unnoticed by the blue heron stalking its breakfast or the eagle surveying its territory. As the morning mist lifts, the promise of enticing new experiences spreads before me. It’s invigorating!
